Autumn holiday on the Alpe di Siusi/South Tyrol – colors in the Dolomites
Autumn turns the Dolomites region at Seiser Alm in a chromatic glorious landscape. Carmine red, honey yellow and maroon lit the leaves on the trees and the deep green of the pine forests ensures impressive contrasts. On the vines around the Prackfolerhof and the Schlosshof, the grapes ripen and the apple harvest has begun. In this season hikes are particularly attractive on the Seiser Alm. Guided tours lead to the witches chairs in Castelrotto and the witches benches at Puflatsch. Along the way, rustic courts and taverns are a “must-stop” during Törggelen and spoil you with hearty South Tyrolean specialties and the new wine of the current season.
Gourmet weeks in the autumn holiday on the Alpe di Siusi/South Tyrol
The South Tyrolean Autumn is a time of treats. The Toerggelen is an old custom that is celebrated annually after the grape and fruit harvest. Rustic courts and taverns open its doors to the guests and serve hearty ravioli, hearty pork dishes, sweet Voelser donuts and young wine. It smells of roasted chestnuts and fresh apple juice. Who likes it sweeter, comes during the Strudel weeks and the Voelser Kuchl Kastel at his expense. Trips in autumn run in the Ötzi museum in the South Tyrolean city of Bolzano, in the local museum in Steinegg and the medieval castle Prösels which is located in front of the Schlosshof.
