In spring the Dolomites region in the Sciliar-Catinaccio area is a blossom dream. Numerous fruit trees are on the slopes of Voelser Aicha in full bloom, while still holding onto the mountain tops, the last remnants of snow. The pastures shine in soft green and the first warming rays of the sun are ideal for hiking and cycling. In spring, the cows leave their winter quarters in South Tyrol, to spend the summer on the lush pastures in the mountains. On the largest mountain plateau in Europe the Running Park Alpe di Siusi opens its doors and attracts active vacationers and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the area. Particularly appealing is a walk on the Oachner Höfeweg who passes right along the Prackfolerhof. On the excursion you will pass small mountain chapels, old homesteads and magnificent shrines.
